Ecos Natural Disco, new eco- friendly disco from Rome Rome follows the Dutch and English examples It ‘s born on EUR, a quarter of Rome, the new project of “Echosphere”, platform that want to aggregate public institutions, private companies and associations on the matter of environmentalism. Called Ecos Natural Disco, it’s the first Italian eco- disco projected and realized in the interests of recycling and environmental protection. We don’t know yet so much on the project and the inaugurations on 28th of may it was postponed for bureaucratic reasons. But certainly European and American examples will inspire Italian designer’s fantasy.
The idea was born in London, by Sir Andrew Charalambous, called also “Dr. Hearth”, an important figure of the association “Club4climate”, that promote the eco friendly dance. The Sustinable Dance Club work as a lighter, thanks to a property of some crystals, called piezoelectricity, generating potential difference when are subject to mechanical pressure. The dance floor is supported by springs that vary by operating generators that produce electricity.
Even in Holland, in Rotterdam, there is a sustainable eco nightclub: the Watt Club. Here we convert the kinetic energy into electrical energy, essentially feeds the local dancing. But it is not its only feature, everything here is based on recycling. Because if you save energy on the one hand, it makes no sense to pollute or waste glasses with water for the toilet. Al Watt Club drinks and food are served in polycarbonate containers, water from the toilet is only rainwater.But the most important thing, perhaps in Italy that would discourage all night: the entrance is open only to those shows since they arrived there on foot, by bike or by public transport. The new course is always in the cost of these structures: only the floor of the Watt Club cost $ 257,000, of an investment available to many entrepreneurs.
Even New York, of course, wins one of the primates eco friendly dance. Green House, born of a draft of Antonio Oronzo, received the prestigious LEED certification for design and eco friendly architecture. Walls and bamboo flooring, recycled glass counters and a spectacular set design made from more than 5,000 organic crystals hanging from the ceiling, which vibrate to the rhythm of music.
Other solutions come from several parts. The Surya in London, named after the Hindu god of the sun, is fed with energy from wind turbines and solar panels. At the Temple Nightclub in San Francisco is the discount of a dollar on consumption, whether the glass is reused. The location is covered by a vertical garden that compensates for atmospheric emissions of CO2. Various solutions' to the more drastic Butterfly Social Club in Chicago. Here, employees feed and console beverage machine, pedaling on a bicycle at the entrance to the club. The bike also supplies other types of entertainment: the Skycicle, much of the attraction Washuzan Highland Park, amusement park Okayama, the roller coasters are equipped with pedals and let the rounds on the carousel. Who knows if the project Ecosphere follow one of these solutions or invent new ones. We expect the opening to find out more.
